Best Answer

the bid price is the price at which you can sell a financial instrument, and the ask price is the price at which you can buy it. The difference between the bid and ask prices is known as the spread. The spread represents the transaction cost or the broker's profit, and it's the difference between the highest price a buyer is willing to pay (bid) and the lowest price a seller is willing to accept (ask).
