A redundant constraint is a constraint that is automatically satisfied whenever the other constraints are satisfied. It can be identified graphically, through logical analysis, or by removing it and checking whether the feasible region changes. Removing a redundant constraint does not affect the optimal solution or the objective function value because it does not impose any additional restriction on the feasible region.
A constraint is redundant if it never forms part of the feasible region boundary; removing it does not change the optimal solution at all.
